Joseph Colsco has survived what many would not have - cast naked on an alien planet amidst humans speaking an unknown language and with a different culture and history. Now, known to the people of Caedellium as Yozef Kolsko, he has risen out of despair to prominence and finds himself a central figure in the culmination of a struggle against an imperialist power bent on subjugation.
The clans of the Island of Caedellium must gird themselves for what is to come. If they can't unite to a degree previously unimaginable, they will fall into the bottomless abyss of lost history. Their strengths are their determination, bravery, potentially new allies, and a single man with a mysterious history. The options are simple: victory, death, enslavement. Yozef Kolsko may have transformed from who he had been on Earth, but did the trials he has undergone produced a savior some of his adopted people see him as or is he an illusion? The crucible of fate is about to yield a final product, but is the result enough against a formidable enemy? Publisher Description
While playing the Crucible PvP in Destiny 2, I keep getting these badges in the top center of my screen. They're obviously for doing things, like getting a double kill you get, 'Double Down'. But some of them are quite confusing. Ones such as, 'I Live here Now', and, 'Wrecking Crew', confuse me. Then there's also the yellow and black ones that I hardly ever see. Can somebody please either direct me to a list of these badges, or give a list of them along with what they represent?

If you log into DestinyTracker you can find the medals you have earned plust lost of other stats related to PvE and PvP.
For some reason Bungie no longer lists the criteria for these medals on the official app for D2 as they did with D1 and the definitions on the wiki are what players have worked out for themselves.
To add to the list in the accepted answer as best as I can work out.
Fight Me : finish a match with the highest damage (not all match types show damage inflicted on the final screen but I think it is counted for all match types)
Wrecking Crew : get 5 (I think) kills as a team without anyone on your team dying
Annihilation : wipe the enemy team yourself ie kill the whole enemy team within one regeneration cycle.
The Gang's All Here : finish a competitive match with none of your team knocked out.
Survivor : Finish a round without dying Knights of the old republic 2 mods.

undefeated : finish an entire match without dying #(and maybe also win the match)
Supremacy Perfection : get 100% crest recovery ie recover 1 crest for every kill you make
Not So Fast My Friend : kill an enemy while they are activating their super or otherwise prevent their super from activating.
My Crest is My Own : either recover your own crest in supremacy or compete a match without having your crest taken (not sure which)

There area also medals for streaks with particular weapon types, Field Scout, Sub Machinist, Assault Specialist etc etc
There are at least 52 different medals. As far as I can tell the red/white ones are for individual achievements or kinetic/energy weapon kills regardless of overall result. The orange/grey ones are for team achievements and special/super/ability kills and the yellow ones are for rare achievements.
I'm also pretty sure that there are some medals which don't appear on Destiny tracker. I'm pretty sure there is one for winning by the mercy rule (ie get a certain number of points ahead by a certain time).

Crushed them means you laid waste in the crucible by 20 or more. Guess. Counter attack is killing the agressor supered countering with your super fight me is highest kill count vs anyone any team best of best . You may or may not need to be getting slaughtered to get it. Dominant advantage is holding 3 zones for a sustained period of time Maybe 1/2 the match . Ive aquired all of them

Not the answer you're looking for? Browse other questions tagged destiny-2 or ask your own question. The story did a good job of ending the first main plot thread. The campaign to conquer the island has been going on since book 1 and really exploded in book 2 and 3. Now this book following our intrepid band as they look for a satisfactory way to end the tale. There is a lot of new plot threads being introduced. Its clear that Olan was hoping to continue this tale past the conclusion that was also clearly needed. This dual purpose doesn't play out cleanly. It works for a while, but then gets a bit bogged down in the minutia. The fact that Olan also clearly doesn't have much knowledge of the kind of warfare he's trying to write about here doesn't help. My immersion was rocked when I realized just how off the descriptions were. But the emotions are there, and the story flows well. Only the weird political and military plot threads really threw me off.
Any Guardian worth their salt has struggled with the idea of what piece of loot to keep and what to blow up. Without fail, that weapon you thought was useless three months ago is now the standard meta in the Crucible, and you feel like an idiot for dismantling it. Sound familiar? Well, thanks to the new Collections feature in Destiny 2: Forsaken, you no longer have to worry about that.
Collections – Reacquire Your Gear
When you bring up your character screen in Destiny 2: Forsaken, you’ll notice the new Collections menu tab alongside the Triumphs tab. The Collections screen is precisely what its name implies; it keeps track of every single piece of gear you’ve acquired and stores it in your Collections. When you pick up a new gun or decrypt a new piece of armor, it will be recorded here, along with all its details, lore, perks, and more.
At any given time, you may choose to reacquire a piece of gear from your Collections. Depending on the type of item, you’ll have to pay with a combination of Glimmer, Legendary Shards, planetary materials, Gunsmith Materials, Silver, or Bright Dust. As long as you have the currency, you can buy the item and get a brand new, fresh in the box, piece of gear delivered into your inventory.
Gone are the days of stuffing your vault with junk for fear of it becoming valuable at some point in the future!

The new Collections system also serves a secondary purpose; tracking all of your gear. Inside the Collections system, all your gear is grouped into specific categories, such as the Exotics: Curse of Osiris and Warmind collection. Some of these collections will earn your Guardian a Badge when you’ve completed the group by finding each item in it. At this point, we’re unsure what purpose the Badges serve, aside from providing that great feeling that completionists have when they’ve collected everything there is to find.

The Collections screen is also a great place to keep track of recently acquired items, which can be very helpful when you’re blasting through new mission content and are drowning in new gear.
